During Hurricane Ida parts of the Northeast experienced more rain in one night than is typically seen in an entire month.

The morning after Ida swept through the Northeast, I pulled rainfall data from NOAA and compared it to historic averages to help readers grasp the severity of the storm. Handling the data analysis and interviews from pitch to publish, I turned this story around in a day for NBC News.
